The Cincinnati Bengals announced Friday that they have released 11 players, including Jackson Carman. This brings the Bengals closer to the 53-man roster limit that must be reached by Tuesday, August 27, but several more players still need to be released in the next few days.
Here is the full list of players released on Friday.

With Carman’s release, one of the Bengals’ biggest losses in recent history officially ended. The 2021 second-round draft pick from Clemson was never able to gain a foothold in the NFL despite being given the chance to play both as an offensive tackle and guard.
Carman was so bad this year that he barely played in the preseason, even though the majority of his starting lineups only played one game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
In the final preseason game on Thursday against the Indianapolis Colts, Carman didn’t really get into the game until the fourth quarter.
There’s a chance the Bengals will try to sign Carman to the practice squad, but honestly, it’s time for both sides to move on.
As for the rest of the cuts, none of those names were realistic candidates for the 53-man roster. Some of them could be added to the practice squad, but players cannot be signed there until next Wednesday, August 28.
