Bengals announce all-orange outfit for Week 1 against Patriots

The Cincinnati Bengals have unveiled a brand new uniform combination, an all-orange outfit that the Bengals will wear when they host the New England Patriots in Week 1. The team announced the news on Twitter on Friday.

Cincinnati had previously announced that the team would wear an alternate uniform of orange pants in the 2024 season. As it turns out, this will be the first game of what will hopefully be a special season in the Queen City.

“Orange is the color of energy, confidence and optimism – three key qualities we want to see as we start the season,” Elizabeth Blackburn, Bengals director of strategy and engagement, said in a press release. “Combining our new orange pants with our orange jerseys and orange helmets creates a vibrant look that is instantly recognizable, especially when our fans join in and host an Orange Out.”

“Open In Orange” is a week-long celebration of various community events leading up to the Bengals vs. Patriots game (click here for more information).

To celebrate this new tradition, the Bengals are creating a 2024 season shirt with proceeds going to the Freestore Foodbank. Fans who attend Taste of the Bengals on Wednesday, August 28 will have the first opportunity to purchase the limited edition shirt before it goes on sale at the Bengals Pro Shop on September 1 (click here for more information).
