Good-Feel and Spike Chunsoft are bringing Bakeru, stylized as BAKERU, to the West on September 3. Released in Japan last November under the name Otogi Katsugeki Mameda no Bakeru: Oracle Saitarou no Sainan!!, Bakeru is an action game that has been compared to Konami’s Goemon series of games (also known as Mystical Ninja) and features Etsunobu Ebisu, the founder of Good-Feel and a key producer of Goemon, on board.
Good-Feel is known for its work on Wario Land: The Shake Dimension and Kirby’s Epic Yarn for the Nintendo WII, as well as its latest game for the Nintendo Switch – Princess Peach: Showtime. While Good-Feel developed and published Bakeru itself in Japan, Spike Chunsoft will be the publisher in the West.

The eShop page for the Western version is also now live, pre-orders are open, and a demo is available for download. This Western version will notably include two new attacks and an enemy that is not present in the Japanese version.
Bakeru is 3.1GB in size and has a recommended retail price of $39.99/£34.99, with a 10% pre-order discount ($35.99/£31.49) running from now until September 3.
