Avengers: Endgame’s epic finale enhanced by ‘scary’ Deadpool and Wolverine edit

If you’re a fan of how Deadpool and Wolverine used Madonna’s pop classic Like A Prayer, wait until you see how a TikTok user incorporated it into Avengers: Endgame.

Deadpool & Wolverine won over fans with its use of Madonna’s classic song “Like a Prayer,” but one fan took the moment to enhance the iconic portal scene from the final act of Avengers: Endgame.

In the original film, a muted orchestra plays, slowly increasing in intensity as more and more heroes, previously ground to dust by the Mad Titan Thanos, return to the battlefield.

But in an edit shared by user FrenchieDwarf on TikTok, that rousing orchestra is replaced with an edit of “Like a Prayer” by Deadpool & Wolverine.

The creator reveals that they spent three days adapting Deadpool and Wolverine’s special version of “Like a Prayer” to the portal scene, which is synchronized with moments like Falcon flying in and Spider-Man’s mask being removed.

Fans have also noticed the video on TikTok, with one user saying they “actually got goosebumps.” Another said the track “literally makes that scene so much more powerful.”

Others, however, have gained a whole new appreciation for the scene with the new track. One said, “I haven’t been able to watch Endgame since it first came out because it causes me so much pain, and that scene is so beautiful with this song.”

The TikTok version is the latest example of a fanbase’s newfound love for the iconic pop song, which has been enjoying a renaissance since it was used in marketing for Deadpool & Wolverine and entered the Billboard Global 200 for the first time.

Deadpool & Wolverine uses Like A Prayer as the soundtrack for its most emotional battle, in which the two heroes dismember an army of 100 Deadpool variants. The scene itself was largely re-edited by Madonna, according to star Ryan Reynolds.
