“At home I was a jungle legend for five seconds!”

“At home I was a jungle legend for five seconds!”

Myleene Klass loved being a mother on I’m a Celebrity: South Africa.

The 45-year-old singer, who has daughters Ava and Hero with ex-husband Graham Quinn and Apollo with partner Simon Motson, won the spin-off series of the survival show earlier this year and was crowned the first jungle legend. She said the opportunity was “great” for her children as they weren’t around when she took part in the 2006 edition of the show.

She said in Metro newspaper’s Sixty Seconds column: “They weren’t there the first time and they liked the fact that everything was bigger and scarier on All Stars! But it was amazing and so brilliant to bring home that crown for those five seconds of them acknowledging that I’m a legend. There’s nothing more humbling than children!”

Meanwhile, the former Loose Women judge – who rose to fame alongside the likes of Kym Marsh when she won a place on Hear’Say in 2002 via reality show Popstars, and who now also runs her own fashion line – but who also helped change the laws surrounding miscarriage after suffering four miscarriages herself, explained that she had to “work hard” to get to where she is now and “never” stayed in her lane when it came to her career.

She said: “That’s a difficult question. I never stayed in my lane, which I’m sure was very frustrating for many.

But you can change a tire, listen to Mozart and play Madonna. Women are not one-dimensional. I love challenging what Westminster thinks is right for us. I like making sure my children see that I practice what I preach and that it is achievable for them too. I have a state education. I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth – I had to go out and work hard.
