Our Asia Podcast Awards 2024 Finalists have been revealed. Here is the full list.
From hundreds of submissions, we have compiled a list of 61 finalists for this year’s awards ceremony.
The winners will be announced at the RadioDays Asia conference in Kuala Lumpur from September 2-4, so you have about two weeks to vote in the People’s Choice section of the awards ceremony.
In most cases, we’ve named around three podcasts that received the highest ratings in each category, but the largest categories have had more than three high-profile finalists selected. Not all entries and categories have been recognized*.
The judges have had a lot to do this year as some categories received a large number of entries. We would like to thank our judges for their hard work over the last few weeks.
The largest categories were: Interviews, Money & Economy, Society & Culture, Health & Wellness, Fiction and News.
The Countries with the strongest podcast industriesDepending on the submission and success of the finalists, these are: Singapore, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Japan.

With so much competition, just reaching the finalist stage is recognition in itself, so give these best performing podcasts of 2024 a big round of applause… drum roll please!

* Assessment in Asia Podcast Awards 2024 follows a rigorous quality control process. Typically, the top three entries are selected as finalists, but if scores are very close, more finalists are included. Scoring is done on a scale of 1 to 100. If a finalist is named on this list, their score is likely to be between 75 and 100%.
Other entries that may not have made it to the final round would likely have scored 50-75%, which is also considered a significant achievement. Entries that did not reach at least the 50% threshold were not eligible for the final round.
One Indie and one Major winner will be selected from the qualified finalists if there are eligible entries in each category. Winners will be featured in our winners list and profile stories, and will be featured on the RadioDays Asia Conference in KL in September. We hope to see you there!
