Arshad Warsi talks about how some actors are overpaid while others in the industry suffer: “The current pay scale has drawn a line between…”

He will soon be seen in Ahmed Khan’s ‘Welcome to the Jungle’. He has worked in numerous films including ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’, ‘Golmaal’ and ‘Ishqiya’. Arshad recently spoke about the disparity in the salaries of Bollywood actors and stated that some are overpaid while others suffer.

MUMBAI: Actor Arshad Warsi has been in the film industry for more than thirty years. He will soon be seen in Ahmed Khan’s Welcome to the Jungle. He has worked in numerous films including Munna Bhai MBBS, Golmaal and Ishqiya. Arshad recently spoke about the disparity in the salaries of Bollywood actors and stated that some are overpaid while others suffer.

The Golmaal star said that overpaid celebrities should not be given huge sums of money. Arshad Warsi was recently asked if he had a problem with the pay scale in the Hindi film industry in an interview with Samdish Bhatia on his YouTube channel UNFILTERED by Samdish.

“I feel that salaries have become so high that they have drawn a line between A and B (I feel that you get so much more than you should get; that’s the problem. I feel that salaries have become so high that they have drawn a line between A and B),” Arshad said.

“Some actors have a lot of money and to compensate them, others suffer,” he added.

Arshad Warsi, in the same interview, spoke about Jaya Bachchan calling him out for his performance at the airport. The Munnabhai MBBS actor boarded the plane comfortably dressed and said he was on his way to Hyderabad to shoot his first film Tere Mere Sapne.

Arshad started his career as a choreographer and recalled that the veteran actress sent her a message asking him to “dress appropriately” for the airport.

Apart from Welcome To The Jungle, Arshad Warsi is also working on Jolly LLB 3. This is the third entry in the Jolly LLB franchise. In addition, Arshad has worked on the web series Modern Love: Mumbai and Asur. The second season of Asur, titled Asur 2, will be released in 2023.
