Anthony Edwards praises Devin Booker for his Olympic performance

In a recent interview, Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards praised Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker for his outstanding performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Edwards, who played alongside Booker on Team USA, highlighted Booker’s versatility and selflessness as key factors in their gold medal win.

An outstanding performance

At the 2024 Olympics, Devin Booker showed his adaptability and excelled in various roles. Known for his scoring abilities in the NBA, Booker took on a more defensive and supportive role for Team USA, averaging 11.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game while playing a crucial role in the team’s defensive strategies.

Edwards was particularly impressed with Booker’s defensive performance. “Steph (Curry) had great games, KD (Kevin Durant) had great games, LeBron (James) had great games, but Book covered the best player and blocked shots. I’m not going to lie, I was impressed watching him,” Edwards said during his appearance at Fanatics Fest.

Key moments

One of the standout moments from Booker’s Olympic appearance was the gold medal game against France. With the U.S. leading 90-84 in the final quarter, Booker made a key play by rushing to the basket and breaking through the defense, giving Stephen Curry a chance to score a point. This play shifted the momentum in the U.S. team’s favor and secured their victory.
