OLDWICK, NJ, August 28, 2024–(BUSINESS WIRE)–AM Best has withdrawn the long-term issuer rating of “bbb-” (Good) of National Western Life Group, Inc. (National Western) (based in Austin, TX). At the time of this withdrawal, the outlook for the credit rating (rating) is stable.
AM Best withdrew this rating because National Western requested to no longer participate in AM Best’s interactive rating process as the company was taken private. This rating was downgraded on August 23, 2024.
