The magical world of Harry Potter is growing.

Muggles can already immerse themselves in Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley at Universal Orlando Resort, but next year they will also be able to visit the Ministry of Magic at the new Universal Epic Universe theme park.

“Set in the magical Paris of Warner Bros. Pictures’ Fantastic Beasts films and the British Ministry of Magic of the Harry Potter film series, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic features an impressive collection of experiences including fantastic food, whimsical shopping, immersive entertainment and the most ambitious, groundbreaking attraction Universal has ever created,” Universal Orlando said in a press release on Wednesday, Harry Potter’s birthday.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – The Ministry of Magic will bridge the gap between the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts franchises.

Will there be a Harry Potter land in the Epic Universe?

Yes, but The Wizarding World of Harry – The Ministry of Magic will also include the Fantastic Beasts series.

The entire land is being developed by Universal Creative in association with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment.

The first thing guests see in this land is 1920s Paris. There, they can cast magic spells and interact with fantastical animals, enjoy French-inspired cuisine, take in a show, and shop for wands and souvenirs in the wizarding shopping district of Place Cachée, which means “Hidden Place” in English.

From Paris, guests travel through space and time on the Floo-inspired Métro-Floo to the British Ministry of Magic in the 1990s, where Dolores Umbridge is on trial in “Harry Potter and the Battle of the Ministry.”

Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique sells wands from the French wand manufacturer Cosme Acajor as well as imports from Ollivanders.

What is Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry?

Universal calls “Harry Potter and the Battle of the Ministry” “one of its most impressive attractions to date.”

“Upon arrival, guests enter the Ministry’s stunning Grand Atrium and explore other departments before boarding magical, omnidirectional lifts to watch (Umbridge’s) trial… until Umbridge attempts an escape,” Univeral said. “Then guests join Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger and a house elf named Higgledy in a thrilling chase that takes them up, down, forward, backward, sideways and more throughout the Ministry as they try to catch Umbridge – all while avoiding attacks from Death Eaters, angry creatures and more.”

Dolores Umbridge will not go down without a fight in “Harry Potter and the Battle of the Ministry.”

Is there a Harry Potter show at Universal Studios?

Not Harry Potter, but for the first time in the wizarding world, the Ministry of Magic will present a “full-scale live theatre experience” called Le Cirque Arcanus.

“The show follows ringmaster Skender, who has stolen Newt Scamander’s trunk – which houses Demiguise, Diricawl, Mooncalves and others – to try to restore the failing Le Cirque Arcanus to its former glory,” Universal said. “It’s then up to circus employee Gwenlyn to save these creatures before they end up in Skender’s greedy hands forever.”

At Cirque Arcanus you can expect fantastic animal creatures, aerial acrobats and other live artists, puppetry and special effects.

What food is served at Harry Potter World?

The main restaurants of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley, the Three Broomsticks and the Leaky Cauldron, are known for British food such as fish and chips and magical drinks such as butterbeer.

Of course, there will still be butterbeer or bièraubeurre in the magical world of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, but guests will find mainly French dishes. Café L’Air De La Sirène offers daily specials, sandwiches and desserts. French confectionery is available at K. Rammelle.

Butterbeer is available throughout the Wizarding World.

There will also be a darker dining option, Le Gobelet Noir, which Universal describes as “a mysterious, ancient auberge where international dark witches and wizards meet to escape the prying eyes of the Paris ministry and enjoy a hearty meal over hushed conversation.”

One exception to the French theme is the Moonshine bar, which Universal says offers American wizards “a taste of home… beer, wine and cocktails served amid pennants of the U.S. Quidditch team and other items of American wizarding culture.”

The shady restaurant Le Gobelet Noir serves starters, main courses and desserts.

Is the Wizarding World of Harry Potter included in Universal Studios?

Yes. Access to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is included with park admission, but only guests with park-to-park tickets may ride the Hogwarts Express between Hogsmeade at Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida.

Will there be a separate ticket for Epic Universe?

Details on ticket sales for Epic Universe have not yet been released, but Universal’s Volcano Bay water park already has a different pricing structure than its sister theme parks, so it wouldn’t be unusual for Epic Universe to introduce a different type of ticket as well.

What is the difference between Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley?

Hogsmeade is a wizarding village near Hogwarts in the Harry Potter books and films that students are allowed to visit – with their guardians’ permission – starting in their third year. In Islands of Adventure, Hogsmeade is where you’ll find the iconic Hogwarts Castle, home to Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, as well as a queue worth going through alone. There are two other rides in the land: the family-friendly Flight of the Hippogriff and Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, one of the resort’s most popular attractions.

Diagon Alley is the hidden main street in London in the Harry Potter story where wizards and witches can buy everything they need for their magic, including school supplies for Hogwarts. There is only one attraction in Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida: Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts. But there is a lot to see, like the spooky Knockturn Alley, the Knight Bus and Kreacher, the house elf at 12 Grimmauld Place.

Although the grounds are located in separate parks, guests with park-to-park tickets can travel between them on the Hogwarts Express.

Can you see all the Harry Potter games in one day at Universal?

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic is one of five new worlds being created for the Universal Epic Universe.

Yes, at the moment. If you focus on the Wizarding World and don’t try to do everything else at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, you can experience all of Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade in one day.

However, it is not yet clear whether you will be able to fully experience both The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. – Ministry of Magic in one day once Epic Universe opens.
