Rumour has it that Alex Beresford, Richard Gadd, Suella Braverman, Tommy Fury, Phillip Schofield, Zara McDermott, Giovanni Pernice and Helen Worth will be among those taking part in “I'm a Celebrity 2024”.

With four months to go until its expected broadcast date, there is much speculation about this year’s line-up of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, and following the shocking news of his split from Molly-Mae Hague, Tommy Fury is at the top of the list.

Last year’s season of ITV’s reality competition saw the likes of Sam Thompson, Fred Sirieix, Tony Bellew and Nigel Farage enter the Australian jungle.

Made in Chelsea star Sam, 31, emerged as King of the Jungle, ending the show’s 23rd season, which has been airing since December 2023.

With the next season set to air in November 2024, this year’s celebrities are in talks with ITV, signing the contract and packing their bags for the jungle.

Possible candidates include the usual reality TV stars, soap opera actors and politicians. After the Tories’ total defeat on July 4, many unemployed MPs will be looking for quick money and face-saving.

Here is Metro.co.uk’s overview of possible campers for ‘I’m a Celebrity 2024’.

Tommy Fury

Following the news that Love Island stars Tommy and Molly-Mae have split, the boxer is predicted to appear on another ITV show.

According to the latest odds from Ladbrokes, Tommy’s chances of appearing in the next series are 4/1. Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Reality TV bosses will surely be lining up to snap up Molly-Mae or Tommy following the surprise split, and the odds suggest the latter could well enter the jungle later this year.”

When Tommy announced his split from Molly-Mae, he said: “It breaks my heart to announce that Molly and I have decided to end our relationship.”

“Over the last five years we have had our beautiful daughter Bambi and I will be forever grateful to Molly for making me a father. Bambi is our number one priority.”

“Please respect our privacy and the privacy of our families as we navigate through this difficult time.”

Zara McDermott

She is rumoured to have split from her long-term partner Sam Thompson, winner of last year’s I’m a Celebrity – but could she turn up in the jungle herself?

The 27-year-old Made In Chelsea star and former Strictly contestant has previously spoken about the possibility of entering the jungle, saying: “Who knows, you never know what’s going to happen,” she said during an interview with Radio 2.

“I don’t know if I could follow his coronation. How could I ever follow that?” she admitted, speaking of Sam’s victory.

Helen Worth

73-year-old Coronation Street icon Helen Worth will soon have a lot of time on her hands as her exit as Gail Platt is imminent.

After living in Weatherfield for five decades, bookies have calculated the odds on Helen’s next move – and suspect the actress deserves a role on “Strictly” or “I’m a Celeb”.

According to reports from The Sun, the odds of her flying to Australia are 10-1, with Strictly and Celebrity Big Brother also being considered.

Richard Gadd

35-year-old Richard Gadd, creator and star of “Baby Reindeer”, is expected to make the move to reality TV: According to OLBH, the chances of appearing on “I’m a Celebrity” or “Strictly” this year are 6/1.

However, one expert warned against Richard moving to the jungle, explaining: “Gadd and Netflix are currently stuck in red tape over ‘Baby Reindeer’ and its portrayal as a true story.”

“There are always controversial, off-the-cuff remarks on ‘I’m a Celebrity’ and no matter how hard he tries, Gadd will not be able to avoid questions from his fellow celebrity jungle mates,” Andy Barr, co-founder and head of digital PR agency 10 Yetis, told Metro.co.uk.

Giovanni Pernice

Strictly pro Giovanni Pernice, 33, has had a rough year since the Strictly 2023 controversy. After being eliminated from the competition following the withdrawal of his partner Amanda Abbington, he suddenly found himself facing a PR storm amid claims of a Strictly feud and bullying allegations.

If reports are to be believed, ITV is determined to sign Giovanni for this year’s I’m a Celeb.

A source told The Sun: “Giovanni would be perfect for the jungle. ITV bosses have wanted him for years and now he’s finally free. Everyone is desperate to have him on board – he would really be ideal for those jungle showers.”

Phillip Schofield

Rumors are circulating that the 62-year-old disgraced This Morning presenter is planning his TV comeback.

Rumours that Phillip might appear on I’m a Celebrity this year began when he was seen laughing and joking over dinner with host Dec Donnelly earlier this year.

A source told OK! of Phillip’s possible plans, saying: “Phillip hasn’t been the same since he left the telly. This is what he’s done his whole life and what he’s always wanted to do. Rumour has it that Ant and Dec are keen to have him on I’m a Celeb.”

The entire Tory Cabinet

In the election night carnage, 11 former cabinet ministers lost their seats, including Jacob Rees-Mogg, former Prime Minister Liz Truss and future leadership contender Penny Mordaunt.

Given the success of Nigel Farage and Matt Hancock on the show – not to mention the high-profile headlines it brought to ITV – many of the now-deposed politicians could head straight for the jungle.

Among these names is Suella Braverman, who somehow managed to keep her place, but there have been rumors that she is considering a move to Australia as early as March this year. That’s at least a change of pace when you’re looking for flights to Rwanda.

Alex Beresford

Good Morning Britain weatherman Alex Beresford was reportedly in the running for the jungle camp last year before appearing on the BBC’s Celebrity Race Across the World instead.

However, he has expressed an interest in going to camp, telling The Mirror: “Of all the shows I would like to do, I would like to do the one in the jungle the most.”

Will Alex’s wish come true this year?
