Machine Gun Kelly may be a singer, rapper and actor, but he has another important title: dad.
MGK has a daughter, Casie Colson Baker, 13, with his ex Emma Cannon. Born in 2009, Casie has a close relationship with her famous father both in and out of the spotlight: she has often walked the red carpet with him and can be heard on his albums. The “Emo Girl” rapper has even said that he trusts Casie’s musical instincts more than his own.
The singer is public about his personal life, including his relationship with fiancée Megan Fox, and is very open about his adoration for his daughter. When Casie turned 13 in July 2022, MGK posted sweet messages for her on Instagram. “Today you are officially a teenager. Happy 13th birthday my love,” he captioned photos of her holding a cake that reads, “OMG YOU’RE A TEENAGER.”

Casie, the only daughter of MGK and Cannon, was born on July 24, 2009, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was named after her father, whose real name is Colson Baker.

When she was 12, Casie contributed a song to her father’s album 2022, collaborating with none other than Pete Davidson. The two appeared on a spoken word song called “Wall of Fame – Interlude,” in which they poke fun at Los Angeles culture.
She is a good cook

MGK appeared in a March 2022 episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where he played a game called “Burning Questions.” The first question DeGeneres asked him was: “What has your daughter taught you?”
It turns out she was teaching him how to make her special breakfast. “I was always crazy about her blueberry pancakes and I asked, ‘How do you do that? How do you get the blueberries in the pancakes?’ And she said, ‘Yeah, just put the blueberries in the pancakes,'” he said. “I never knew how to put blueberries in pancakes. Apparently you just have to put blueberries in the mix. It’s very disappointing.”
MGK loves her optimism

In December 2021, the singer appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show and spoke to the host about Casie’s positive attitude and innocence. “I was just walking behind my daughter at the airport the other day and she just has this walk, it’s this pure joy of life, she’s so excited about life like she’s so young in her life,” he said. “I’ve been through so much in my life. I just pray to every god that exists that she keeps this joy of life forever and that no one stops her.”
MGK added that he hopes he “always has the opportunity to step back and watch her have that momentum.”
“I will take any torture that could befall her if I can only take it so that she can keep this forever because… this is something worth living for, to see,” he continued. “Her voice is so sweet and she is not corrupted by what the world has to offer.”
She will soon be a big sister

If MGK marries his fiancée Fox, she will have three siblings: Noah Shannon, Bodhi Ransom and Journey River, whom Fox has with her ex Brian Austin Green.
In February 2022, Fox posted photos of her, MGK, and Casie spending a day together in Cleveland. In one, Fox and the rapper smile side by side while Casie makes a silly face at the camera. In another, the couple looks at Casie as she reaches over to Fox.
She loves the red carpet

Casie has appeared on the red carpet with her famous father many times, including at the American Music Awards in November 2021, where MGK won an award for Favorite Rock Artist, and at the premiere of his film The last son.
She made her first appearance on the red carpet with her father at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2017.
She influences her father’s music

MGK’s close bond with Casie also means he listens to her instincts when it comes to his music. “I trust her opinion more than my own now,” he told Kelly Clarkson during an appearance on her show in November 2021. “She has her finger on the pulse of what’s hot right now, or if I make a song and it’s the right one, she’ll validate it.”
Casie is also musically inclined. In fact, in July 2022, MGK posted a video on Instagram of the two rapping together on “Crazy in Love” by JAY-Z and Beyoncé.
She often accompanies her father on tour
MGK took his Mainstream sell-out Tour to Europe in September 2022. Casie accompanied her father and his future wife Megan Fox to shows and sightseeing.
“It’s my daughter’s first European tour 💼🇫🇷,” the singer wrote under a carousel of pictures, including several snapshots with Casie. The father-daughter duo spent some lovely hours together in Paris – they visited Rick Owens’ studio, the Louvre and shopped in luxury stores.
