The University of Alabama football team held its Fan Day at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Sunday. Fan Day is an open practice for the public, along with an autograph signing session for Yea Alabama members.

This annual event gets fans excited for the upcoming football season.

“I think we have a really good team. The talent is there, the leadership is there and everything is there for them to be successful,” said Joe Martin, the father of an Alabama football player. “I know they worked hard over the summer and they’re trying hard. The guys are tight-knit, they love each other and they’re going to play for each other and for their coaches. When Bama does that, Bama wins.”

This season, the first year with new head coach Kalen DeBoer, is full of excitement. After watching the team practice, some fans believe that DeBoer will live up to the expectations Alabama fans have of him and that the new coach will push the team to greatness.

“I’m really glad we have an experienced coach who was a part of the national championship last season,” said UA sophomore Zachary Frabizio. “I think he’s going to bring a lot of his offensive spirit and leadership to the team and really benefit us for the big games ahead of us.”

Bama will face Western Kentucky on August 31 at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
