Aggressive matted dog who is unrecognizable after a good shave and some loving care
A dog found covered in mats was clearly distrustful of humans, as was evident by his reaction to rescuers. What happened to the pooch and could they ever win him over?
Galway, Ireland – A little Dog was found with long, matted fur and was obviously wary of human interaction based on his reaction to rescuers. What had happened to this poor pooch and would they ever be able to get him back?

He was abandoned by his previous owner, Callie Crowe told The Dodo.
“It was clear he had been abused when (my uncle) rescued him,” added Toby’s current caregiver.
It wasn’t her who found the furry friend, but her uncle, who is currently ill, so Crowe and her family stepped in to care for the puppy.

At that time, it was difficult to save the four-legged friend at all because Toby Crowe’s uncle and his helpers were very suspicious.
But when they finally managed to do so, they set about shearing his fur.
“We were all shocked and couldn’t believe it was the same dog,” Crowe said.
“It was honestly quite emotional to see him after his transformation!”

Several TikTok videos from Crowe’s account show footage of the dog at the beginning of his rescue journey, as well as recent pictures and videos showing how far he has come.
Here it becomes clear how much the dog has changed – and not just visually. He has also exchanged his aggressive behavior for a loving and affectionate nature.
“When he finally allowed himself to be petted, it was a sigh of relief,” the Irish woman explained.

“He used to eat only in the presence of our father, but now he comforts everyone in the house,” she said.
Crowe happily added that the little guy “loves to fetch tennis balls and welcomes everyone who enters (the driveway).”
