SS Rajamouli has certainly given us some great films in the last few years. MUMBAI: SS Rajamouli set new standards with his pan-Indian films Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. The films gave us our first pan-Indian star Prabhas, who was admired not only for his acting skills in Baahubali and its second part, but also for all the subsequent films as he gained fans among Hindi film lovers as well.

It is a 2012 film starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Sudeep and Nani. In the film, we see an unusual chemistry between Samantha and Nani on screen, where Nani’s character is murdered by Sudeep (the antagonist) but he gets reincarnated as a fly and tries to take revenge while protecting his lover Bindu (played by Samantha) from Sudeep who is obsessed with her.
Every time Samantha and Nani’s names are mentioned, fans immediately think back to this film and once again it has happened. Nani is releasing his new film ‘Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’, tentatively titled ‘Nani32’. During the promotions of the film, Nani and Samantha crossed paths and videos of their conversations went viral.
This also made fans want to see them together on screen once again and many fans wanted a sequel to Eega to relive their chemistry. While some felt that it could be a sequel with Sudeep returning as another insect, a predator of the fly, others suggested a completely new storyline focusing on the cruel treatment of animals.
It will be interesting to see if the makers listen to the fans, but until then, let’s wait for Saripodhaa Sanivaaram to hit the theatres.
