Orange County, Florida – The Orange County Film Incentive Workgroup will hold its first meeting on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 9 a.m. at the Orange County Administration Center in downtown Orlando.
The task force, created by the Orange County Board of County Commissioners (BCC), is tasked with exploring the creation of a film incentive program. The group will evaluate options and make recommendations on staffing, annual operating costs, partnerships and potential incentive structures.
Six counties in Florida currently have film incentive programs to attract high-paying film and television productions. Orange County hopes to use this opportunity to attract creative talent, promote local businesses and showcase its unique assets.
Meetings will be held from 9 a.m. to noon in the BCC Chambers at the Orange County Administration Center in downtown Orlando. Dates include:
- Tuesday, August 20, 2024
- Wednesday, September 11, 2024
- Tuesday, October 1, 2024
- Wednesday, October 9, 2024
- Tuesday, October 22, 2024
Meetings will be recorded for later viewing and will include public comment. The working group is expected to finalize and present its findings at the BCC meeting on October 29, 2024.
