ST. LOUIS, Mo. – University of Maine soccer forward Abby Kraemer has been named to the 2024 Hermann Trophy Watch List, announced this week by the United Soccer Coaches.

Kraemer, a senior, is one of only 44 Division I soccer players on the list and the only player from an America East program on the 2024 Watch List.

In 2023, Kraemer played one of the best individual seasons in program history, helping the program to its first-ever America East Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance. Kraemer became the first All-American in program history, earning Second Team honors. This recognition marked the first time an America East women’s soccer student-athlete earned All-American status since 2012. Additionally, Kraemer was named to the United Soccer Coaches’ All-Region First Team selection in 2023, becoming the only player from a non-Power Five school selected for the team.

Kraemer was also named America East Forward of the Year and named to the America East All-Conference First Team after leading the league in points (30), points per game (1.76), goals (13), goals per game (0.72), game-winning goals (6), shots (68) and shots per game (3.78), consistently ranking in the top 15 in the nation in those categories all season. Her 13 goals were the most by an America East player in a single season since 2018, and her six game-winning goals this year were the most by an America East player since 2019.
