Sentonas admitted, “It’s definitely not an award to be proud of.” He acknowledged the company’s mistake, saying, “I think the team was surprised when I said right away that I was getting it.” “Because we got it horribly wrong, we’ve said it multiple times, and it’s super important to own up to it when you do something well, it’s super important to own up to it when you do something horribly wrong.”

Sentonas also announced that he plans to display the trophy at CrowdStrike’s headquarters as a constant reminder of the company’s mission to protect its users. “Our goal is to protect people, and we got that wrong, and I want to make sure everyone understands that this can’t happen,” he said.

This bold admission underscores CrowdStrike’s commitment to responsibility and determination to learn from its mistakes.
