Marie Grasser, owner of Charcutemarie, and her sister Sophia Normantas have announced that they plan to open Apéro at 20 Alfred Street in Biddeford, with a target date of October 1.
The Apéro will serve craft cocktails and mocktails, as well as charcuterie. In a video on Instagram, the sisters said they envisioned a “mood-filled, sexy, fun” Parisian atmosphere while also being a “comfortable, cozy place.”
Cafe in Old Orchard Beach
Coast Café has opened at 2 Cascade Road in Old Orchard Beach next to Landry’s Shop ‘n Save. The owner could not be reached at press time, but according to the cafe’s Instagram page, Coast Café is open for breakfast and lunch Wednesday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Breakfast is served all day, including pancakes, avocado toast, omelets, smoothies, pastries and coffee.
Labor Day weekend
Ferry Beach Retreat and Conference Center, 5 Boardwalk Drive, Saco, is hosting a Labor Day weekend beach barbecue on Saturday, August 31, from 4 to 8 p.m. The all-you-can-eat menu includes vegan and gluten-free options.
