On Oahu, election officials had received about 226,000 ballots by Friday, including mail-in votes and votes cast in person.
That is 50,000 fewer votes per state constituency than two years ago.

In Kakaako, House Speaker Scott Saiki is running against Kim Coco Iwamoto in a close, winner-takes-all primary.
