S-tier gangs in Cyberpunk 2077

  • suction
  • BARGHEST
  • Voodoo Boys

One can argue about which gangs are the face of Cyberpunk2077 experience, but Maelstrom, Barghest and the Voodoo Boys are among the cream of the crop in terms of sheer power and technological know-how. Maelstrom is a typical booster gang known for exaggerated cybernetic enhancements (often to the point of cyberpsychosis). They emerged in the 2020s. They run the largest gang-owned club in Night City as part of their activities, and their intertwined status with Vs Quests along with their over 1300 members makes them one of the most feared in Cyberpunk2077.

Barghest and the Voodoo Boys have a similar status to Maelstrom for different reasons. In the case of Barghest, their leader Kurt Hansen comes into conflict with V’s motives in the Phantom Liberty DLC. This troublesome role, as well as their reputation as debauchers and outlaws after driving the NCPD out of Dogtown, contribute to their elite status. The Voodoo Boys may not be as threatening on the streets, but they make the Internet their haven, planting viruses and disrupting neural networks. Given Cyberpunk2077In the futuristic computer-aided storyline of, they pose a threat that cannot be ignored; a fact that V acknowledges by working with them on the Transmission mission.

A-tier gangs in Cyberpunk 2077

  • Ghosts
  • Tiger Claws
  • Aldecaldos

The Wraiths need no introduction in Cyberpunk2077 lore, despite hanging around the outskirts of Night City. While other gangs police areas within the metropolis, the Wraiths have made the Badlands their turf, making their money through ambushes and raids. Their place so high on the list lies in their visual X-factor, highlighted by their leader, Dogkiller, who dons human skin in a terrifying show. Likewise, in a storyline built with a hyper-cyber focus, the Tyger Claws bring a refreshingly familiar perspective to Cyberpunk2077‘s mixture.

The Japanese Yakuza-like gang has over 5,000 members in its ranks, and its benefactor in Arasaka makes it a dominant force. With its massive backing, the Tyger Claws have secured ownership of several legitimate businesses, but their penchant for operating under the radar compared to the likes of Barghest makes them somewhat less appealing. Also, in terms of the sheer size of the gang, few can match the Aldecaldos, though the majority avoid Night City. Despite their mediocre attitude, their leader’s friendship with Johnny Silverhand and their inclination to assist V in his missions endear them to the storyline in a way few others can.

B-tier gangs in Cyberpunk 2077

  • 6th Street
  • Valentino’s
  • The animals

One of the most merciless places in Cyberpunk20776th Street is a classic example of a hero living long enough to become a villain. The gang abandoned their original idealistic fight for justice and took over the province of Santo Domingo, earning their daily bread through protection rackets and all sorts of extortion. However, compared to the other bandits involved in the plot, they seem to lack some extravagance. Likewise, the fact that Valentino’s doesn’t have the most formidable power sets them back a bit, but fun activities like street parties and drag races set them apart from everyone else in a good way.

In that sense, the Animals may not be the most powerful or influential in Night City. However, their specialization in causing chaos using a harsh drug called The Juice gives them a certain flair. Their members are intimidating with their enhanced physical abilities, and their toughness is rivaled only by the likes of Maelstrom.

C-tier gangs in Cyberpunk 2077

Although their nickname suggests that they live off of scraps, the Scavengers are known for their ill-gotten liquidity. A large portion of their members have Russian roots and they roam the streets of Night City in search of their prey. Their main source of income is kidnapping people and harvesting valuable cybernetic implants in order to make a quick buck by selling their loot. Unlike other gangs, there is no defined hierarchy, and this lack of structure reflects poorly on Cyberpunk2077. They have little impact on the overall plot and their reckless actions are not valid for entertainment purposes.

The Mox are located in a similar slot at the bottom of the Cyberpunk2077‘s gang food chain. They are one of Night City’s newer criminal societies, their size pales in comparison to the others, with only around 200 members in their ranks. Due to their small numbers and protective focus on sex workers, they are not one of the leading groups in the game.
