The Japanese drama The Last Airbender (The beginning of the sea) had the most followers on Instagram of all the new series that premiered in July, according to The WIT.

The Fuji TV series has garnered 473,000 followers since its debut on July 1. The main character is actor and former boy band star Ren Meguro, who himself has 2.5 million followers. The series is about a 28-year-old who finds out that he has a daughter at his ex-girlfriend’s funeral.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murdera teen thriller based on the book of the same name, premiered on BBC iPlayer on July 1 and on BBC Three in the UK on July 10, before becoming available on Netflix on August 1. The series’ wide release led to it amassing 102,000 followers on Instagram, helped by author Holly Jackson’s 291,000 followers. It centers on a 17-year-old girl who sets out on a quest to prove the innocence of a man accused of murdering a local schoolgirl.

With 79,000 followers, TVI ranks third on the July Wit List. dilemma debuted on July 7. The Portuguese adaptation of the reality game show Banijay dilemma sees two teams of eight people each locked in a house. Portuguese co-hosts Manuel Luís Goucha and Ricardo Martins Pereira have 946,000 and 115,000 followers respectively.

SBTs An enchanted cavea Brazilian youth telenovela, tells the story of a girl who embarks on an unexpected journey and uncovers secrets about her school, her family and herself. With a cast consisting of Isabela Souza (1.1 million followers) and Miguel Coelho (204,000), as well as young actors Mel Summers (176,000) and Juju Penido (112,000), the series itself has garnered 77,000 followers.

Another Fuji TV series made it onto the list, with Mountain Doctor and had 76,000 followers after premiering on July 8. The medical series is about a young orthopedic surgeon who returns to his hometown and is placed in a team of mountain medics. The cast is led by Yosuke Sugino and also includes actor and boy band idol Koji Mukai, who himself has 791,000 followers.

The restart of Three women (Three women), My love without timewas broadcast on July 15 on Las Estrellas, 25 years after the first season. The cast of the reboot includes Mane de la Parra, Leticia Calderón, Andres Baida and Karla Esquivel. The series gained 44,000 followers, including de la Parra (1.2 million), Calderón (556,000), Baida (622,000) and Esquivel (180,000).

A new Israeli adaptation of The amazing race, Ha’Merotz La’Millionbegan airing on July 1 on Channel 12 (Keshet). The format was previously adapted on Reshet from 2009 to 2020. The new version, which has 31,000 followers on Instagram, is hosted by actor and presenter Yehuda Levi.

Next on the list is Survivor, Expedition Robinsona new Argentine version of Survivorswhich previously aired on Canal 13 from 2000 to 2001. The latest series premiered on July 15 on Disney+ across Latin America and on Telefe in Argentina, and has garnered 27,000 followers. Its fan base is bolstered by the star power of its host, Alejandro Wiebe, aka Marley, who has 7.7 million followers.

The LGBT+ love drama from BS Asahi Takara no Vidroadapted from the manga of the same name, Yoji Iwase (208,000 followers) and Eito Konishi (163,000) play the main roles. After the premiere on July 1, the film had 27,000 followers on Instagram.

The Wit List for July is rounded off by Real Estate Brazil gained 23,000 followers after its debut on RedeTV! on July 22. The series is a reality competition for professionals from five different areas of construction and real estate, including architects, designers and brokers. It features João Gondim (72,000 followers), João Angeli (31,000), Vinicius Motta (66,000) and Diego Carielo (48,000).
