The Central East Maui Little League Majors have secured a spot in the Little League World Series after defeating the Eastvale Little League of Southern California 2-1 on Friday to win the West Region title.
The Maui 12U boys will play in the opening round of the Little League World Series against Salem, NH, the New England regional team in game two at 9 a.m. (3 p.m. ET) Wednesday.
The Maui team had three wins and one loss in the regional tournament, with their only loss coming against the same team they ultimately defeated in the regional championship game on Friday.
- The boys won their first game on Sunday, August 4, at Al Houghton Stadium, 2-0, against Land Park Pacific Little League from Northern California.
- They lost 3-11 to Eastvale Little League of Southern California on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.
- On Wednesday, August 7, they earned a 13-9 victory over Litchfield Park Little League from Arizona.
- On Friday, August 9, they secured their spot in the LL World Series by defeating Eastvale Little League of Southern California 2-1.
The 2024 Little League World Series, presented by T-Mobile, will be held August 14-25 at Lamande Stadium in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
The winner of West (Maui, HI) vs. New England (Salem, NH) will advance to Game 10 against Northwest (South Hill Little League of Puyallup, Washington) on Friday, August 16 at 9 a.m. HST (3 p.m. ET).
The losing team from Game 2 will play the losing team from Game 8, Southwest (Boerne Little League of Texas) vs. Mid-Atlantic (Council Rock Newtown Little League of Pennsylvania), in Game 16 on Saturday, August 17 at 1:00 p.m. HST (7:00 p.m. ET).
