Traffic disruptions are expected on the third day of the Missouri State Fair

SEDALIA, Missouri (KMIZ)

The annual Missouri State Fair is the state’s largest agricultural show, attracting more than 30,000 visitors each day. With so many people expected, traffic delays are expected at the fairgrounds and in the surrounding area on Saturday.

The main entrance is on W 16th St., two additional entrances are on US 65, and one entrance is on Clarendon Rd. General parking is located on W 16th St. and US 65.

Drivers should watch out for pedestrians, drive slowly and pay attention to the signs around the exhibition grounds.

Commuters to Sedalia should expect heavy traffic around the train station, as well as on Main Street and S Limit Ave., in the mornings and evenings.

Only last year, the trade fair broke the visitor record with almost 350,000 visitors.

The fair will have an open gate system and bag checks. The Missouri State Highway Patrol will be monitoring the fairgrounds throughout the day.

Tickets cost $15 for adults, $10 for seniors over 60, $4 for children ages 6 to 12, and are free for children under five.

The fair runs until August 18th.
