Vivent Health is one of the nation’s leading HIV care providers, serving nearly 4,000 Milwaukee residents living with HIV and thousands more affected by the disease. Dining Out for Life supports Vivent’s food distribution, a service that reflects their holistic approach to HIV care. In addition to providing medication, they also address basic health needs such as food, shelter and case management.

The success of their approach is reflected in the numbers. Among patients in Wisconsin, the viral suppression rate is 95%, while the national average is only 62%.

“As a community-based organization, Vivent Health must continue to provide the services and programs that meet the most important health needs of our community and remain flexible so we can adapt to changing needs,” said Margaret Lidstone, Vivent Health’s Chief Philanthropy and Community Engagement Officer.

“Dining Out for Life is instrumental in making this happen. All funds raised during this one-day event will benefit the health and well-being of Milwaukee’s population in need of care.”

Dining Out for Life in Milwaukee is just one of many nationwide initiatives.
