‘Live’: Mark Consuelos cheekily reminds petite Kelly Ripa that she’s ‘still 5’4″‘ after she claims his only habit makes her ‘grow a little bit taller’

Mark Consuelos hit Kelly Ripa well with a one-liner that was short and cheeky on Live with Kelly and Mark on Thursday.

“So, you want to hear about bedtime ruining our relationship and it’s not sex?” Ripa teased. “It’s called ‘parallel scrolling.’ It’s when we lie next to each other in bed and scroll in parallel.”

Consuelos teased him: “Yeah, I think that’s why I got a little tendon problem in my arm.”

However, Ripa suspected that her husband and co-host’s “impatience” caused his injury, as he “had to rush to snatch the suitcase from her hand.”

“Well, I wanted to lift it for you,” Consuelos insisted, to which Ripa added, “And what about the weight?”

Finally, Ripa explained the disadvantages of “parallel scrolling,” sharing that “you’re basically reducing your chances of intimacy and affection and generally becoming less engaged with your partner.” She then shared with Consuelos a personal benefit of “parallel scrolling.”

“I like when we scroll side by side because it proves to me what you often accuse me of, which is when you click on something and the volume is all the way up and you don’t turn it down,” she stressed. “That’s what you accuse me of, and every time you do that, I get a little bigger.”

Consuelos replied cheekily: “You’re still 5’4”, sweetheart.”

“I would love to have that commercial where the two couples disagree about what happened,” he added, to which Ripa added, “Oh, they throw the flag on the piece?”

Consuelos continued, “They throw the flag and go to the tape. I would like that.”

Ripa scoffed: “I would like that better than you!”

Live with Kelly and Mark is broadcast on weekdays. You can find your local program on the website.
