Union County Fall Festival returns with live music, food trucks and a small beer garden – County of Union

The Union County Board of County Commissioners is pleased to announce that the 2024 Union County Fall Festival will be held on Saturday, September 14thfrom 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Oak Ridge Park, 136 Oak Ridge Road in Clark. Admission is free for everyone.

“The Board of Commissioners and I hope our residents and park visitors have enjoyed this year’s concert series so far and have room for another,” said Union County Commissioner Chair Kimberly Palmieri-Mouded. “As we look forward to the changing of the seasons, we are excited to host another day of live music, refreshments and fun! Events like our Fall Festival foster a sense of community togetherness and provide another opportunity for everyone to step away from their daily routines and reconnect with one another in a safe and enjoyable environment. I hope to see you all there.”

The 2024 Fall Festival will feature live musical performances and plenty of food and refreshments for purchase. For the first time, the event will feature the Union County Micro Beer Garden, offering local beer from Wet Ticket Brewing of Rahway, Yale Terrace Brewery of Cranford, Climax Brewing Co. of Roselle Park and Lion’s Roar Brewing Company of Westfield. Residents must be at least 21 years old and be able to present a valid photo ID before being served.

The musical lineup for the 2024 Autumn Festival is as follows:

The fabulous Thunderbirds – This popular blues-rock band is known for their harmonica-infused sound. Over their 50-year career, they’ve had the opportunity to open for musical talents such as the Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton, and their original music was even used in the 1987 classic film “Hot Pursuit.” Attendees can expect fan favorites “Tuff Enuff” and “Wrap It Up,” as well as newer hits like “Struck Down By The Blues” and “Nothing in Rambling.”

The weight band – This band knows how to follow in the footsteps of their predecessor, The Band, and that’s partly because their bandleader, Jim Weider, was The Band’s lead guitarist for 15 years! The Weight Band recreates the energy of that grassroots sound of Woodstock that takes fans back in time, while mixing it with their own inspiring, original performances that leave audiences hopeful for the future.

Dead On Live – Dead on Live returns to our concert series with a super-funky “Jerry Jams” show, revisiting Jerry Garcia’s solo era from 1975 to 1977, when he headlined the groovier, looser band of the same name, the Jerry Garcia Band. Fans can look forward to DOL’s reinterpretations of “They Love Each Other” and “Positively 4.”th Street” and other legendary hits from this unforgettable musical era.

In support of Diaper Needs Awareness Month, Union County will also be collecting diapers and baby items at the 2024 Fall Festival. All donations will be distributed to local nonprofits.
