Sometimes you just have to stop and admire Mother Nature’s most beautiful creations. In the truest sense of the word: stop and enjoy the scent of the roses. And if you want to treat yourself to this moment of relaxation, you can do so in what is statistically the most beautiful flower garden in the world.

Over the summer, Titan Travel, a global travel company, dove deep into the data to find the most beautiful gardens in the world. To find out which gardens rank at the top, the team looked at TripAdvisor’s data to find out which gardens are worth visiting. After looking through all the reviews and rankings, the Ruth Bancroft Garden in Walnut Creek, California, was named the best place.

“Ruth Bancroft Garden in Walnut Creek is Tripadvisor’s highest-rated flower garden, with 62 percent of it giving 5-star ratings as ‘beautiful,'” the company said in its findings Travel + Leisure. “With over 7,400 Instagram posts and an average Tripadvisor rating of 4.5/5, this garden should be at the top of your bucket list.”

As Titan Travel noted, the garden is home to more than 2,000 species of cacti, succulents, trees and shrubs native to countries like Mexico, Chile, South Africa, Australia and, of course, California. It spans 3.5 acres and guests are welcome to explore on their own. However, those who want to learn a thing or two are also welcome to attend the garden’s regular classes, workshops and events to hone their green thumb as well. The garden is open to guests every Tuesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“Over 48,000 Google searches in the past year indicate strong visitor interest,” the results continue. “Over 1,000 enticing Instagram posts and an average Tripadvisor rating of 4.5/5 show why these gardens should be at the top of your wish list this summer.”

Third place goes to Pukekura Park in New Plymouth, New Zealand, with 30 percent of 5-star reviews as “gorgeous.” “Over 10,000 Instagram posts showcase the splendor of the ‘jewel in New Plymouth’s crown,’ which is free to all,” said Titan Travel. “After 92,000 Google searches last year, the park is one that many would like to visit in 2024.”

It added: “In Europe, you can visit the Volksgarten and Mirabell Palace in Austria or visit the Arctic-Alpine Botanical Garden in Norway.
