Pacific Coast Highway in Ventura County reduced to one lane overnight

VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. – CalTrans plans to reduce PCH on Highway 1 to one lane overnight starting Monday.

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) plans to reduce Pacific Coast Highway (State Route 1) to one lane overnight from Postmile 21.3 (Mobile Pier Road) to Postmile 28.4 near Emma Wood State Beach in Ventura County to reinforce lane markings beginning Monday, August 12. Traffic officers will direct alternating traffic and traffic signs will be posted. Motorists should expect delays.

Nighttime lane closure on PCH (SR-1)

  • 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Monday, August 12, through Friday, August 16 (Work will continue in phases each night.)

All work is subject to change due to weather or construction-related issues. Residents and businesses near the highway may experience noise, vibration and dust associated with construction. Closures may begin or end later. The roadway will reopen each morning.
