Valve’s latest hero shooter MOBA Deadlock is packed with unique strategies and tricky mechanics to help you win matches. Here’s how to make the most of the jungle camps and harvest their souls.

Deadlock is Valve’s latest take on a MOBA that combines hero shooter elements from titles like Overwatch 2 with the intense statistical strategy of games like Dota and League of Legends.

With multiple paths, objectives to conquer, and souls to farm, a lot of strategy is required to secure your way to victory. One of these could be the jungle camps that are scattered throughout the map and are a great way to collect bonus souls during downtime.

Want to start farming? Here’s what you need to know.

Who should take part in jungle camps?

Unlike other MOBAs, Deadlock does not have a specific jungle role. Instead, all players are meant to occupy these camps at will, whether because they have free time or need a break from the main battle.

That said, if you’re running back to the lane or have already left your lane, it’s a good idea to run through, clear them out of the way, and collect the bonus souls to help you reach your builds faster.

Where are the jungle camps?

There are many jungle camps scattered throughout the maps and alleys in Deadlock. They are best identified on the minimap, which has icons indicating where they are and what level they are on.

Camps are shown on the minimap and marked with a green triangle.

The easiest tier of jungle camps are indicated on the map by a single green triangle, making them easy to spot when looking for bonus souls. The higher tier camps are also indicated by a green triangle, but have lines drawn underneath them to indicate their level. One line means it is a tier two camp, while two lines underneath means it is a tier three camp.

Jungle camps, levels and spawn timers

Like other MOBAs, certain jungle camps only spawn at certain times during the game. Deadlock limits the jungle camp tier it can spawn at to the seven-minute mark to prevent players from collecting large amounts of souls right away. Here are the spawn timer and base souls for each jungle camp tier.

While level 3 camps provide the most souls, keep in mind that they have a lot of health and deal a lot of damage.

Therefore, it is a good idea to be at a higher level or to ask some friends to come along and help you.
