Cooler days tomorrow, warmer on the holiday weekend

RAPID CITY, SD (KOTA) –

Skies will remain clear at night, as they have all day. Temperatures will reach just above 10 degrees in Rapid City. The wind will die down tonight, but will pick up again during the course of tomorrow. Temperatures will be on the cool side, reaching just above 27 degrees in Rapid City in the afternoon and evening. Lots of sunshine is expected tomorrow throughout the day. The wind will pick up again. The forecast is calm, and sunshine will dominate the forecast for the next three days. The sunny trend will continue over Labor Day weekend, with warm temperatures on Saturday, back near average on Sunday, and then back above 30 degrees on Labor Day itself on Monday. Sunny to mostly sunny is expected. Temperatures will reach 4 to 10 degrees throughout the KOTA area tonight, as the wind will die down. Clear skies are expected everywhere and cooler temperatures will prevail. Tomorrow will be a cooler day for most of the region, with temperatures likely between 21 and 25 degrees. We’ll see another day of sunshine, and unfortunately, winds will pick up again throughout the day, reaching up to 25 mph, with gusts of 30 in some cases. Northeast Wyoming and the Northern Hills will see temperatures start to climb again over the next three days through the end of the week and the first half of the weekend, with sunny skies expected for all. Rapid City will see nothing but sunshine for the entire 7-day forecast, with temperatures in the high 80s Saturday, back to just under 80 on Sunday, and back to 90 early next week. Windy weather is expected tomorrow, Sunday, and Monday.
