Carol Vorderman hints at camp drama on ‘I’m a Celebrity South Africa’ as she talks about Janice Dickinson

Carol Vorderman has hinted there was camp drama on I’m a Celebrity…South Africa after admitting she doesn’t want to talk about her “crazy” campmate Janice Dickinson “as much” these days.

The 62-year-old star is one of nine celebrities confirmed to take part in the upcoming all-stars version of the ITV show, which aims to find an ‘I’m a Celebrity Legend’.

Carol admitted that she gets on well with fellow celebs Helen Flanagan, Amir Khan, Fatima Whitbread, Phil Tufnell and Jordan Banjo, with whom she appeared on the 2016 season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, but she was less forthcoming with her praise for Janice.

In Lorraine she said: “I’m totally in love with Helen Flanagan. She’s my little meerkat. I love her.”

“Amir Khan – one of the funniest men in the world.

“Jordan Banjo – so he was with me in Australia. I was his jungle mum and he was my jungle son. And Tuffers (Phil Tufnell).

“I knew a lot of people before, Paul Burrell. And Fatima Whitbread, what a woman, what a story. She was incredible.”

“Janice Dickinson – we won’t talk about her that much. Yeah, crazy.”

Carol also admitted that the show – which is co-hosted by Ant and Dec – was “really, really tough”.

Earlier this week, ITV announced the nine celebrities who will appear in the show’s first episode, which airs in April, and confirmed there will be “many more”.

Carol, Phil, Fatima, Janice, Jordan, Amir, Paul and Helen will also be accompanied by Happy Mondays singer Shaun Ryder.

The former co-host of Countdown admitted this week that taking part in the Australian jungle version of the show in 2016 changed her “a lot”.

She said: “Being on ‘I’m a Celebrity’ has changed me so much and I can’t wait to take part in this new season.”

“I loved everything about ‘I’m a Celebrity’ (the first time). We still have a WhatsApp group! (from 2016).”

ITV admitted this week that the South African series will be an “even tougher affair” than the Australian show and that it will push contestants “to their limits and put them to the test like never before”.

They added: “The challenges are bigger and harder and the environment harsher and more unforgiving.”
