MONROEVILLE, Pennsylvania (KDKA) – An 18-year-old woman was found shot to death in a Monroeville home on Wednesday.

Allegheny County police said the woman, later identified by the coroner’s office as Joselyn Thomas, was reported missing to North Versailles police shortly before 1:30 p.m.

Just hours later, while officers were still searching for her, they received news that she had been found shot to death at the Cambridge Square Apartments in Monroeville.

According to police, investigators were able to determine that 18-year-old Albert Williams III was responsible for her death.

Court records show that Williams is charged with voluntary manslaughter, possession of a firearm and tampering with evidence.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for later this month.
