In the first half of 2024, CD PROJEKT continued its development work for upcoming releases, while also participating in activities that support the sales of already released games. The company is preparing to begin the full-fledged production phase of Project Polaris – the first part of the new Witcher saga.

– Work on Polaris is progressing – the development team is approaching a major milestone that will mark the end of the pre-production phase. The first half of the year was also a busy time for our studio in Boston, which is laying the groundwork for Project Orion – a new game in the Cyberpunk universe – says Michał Nowakowski, co-director of CD PROJEKT.

In May, the studio released REDkit – a modding tool for The Witcher 3: Wild Huntallowing users to create their own adventures in the world of Geralt of Rivia.

– Several months have passed since our development tools were released to gamers, and there are already a lot of interesting modding projects. We are pleased with the engagement of the gaming community, who are happy to share their ideas and give new energy to The Witcher 3 – a game that will celebrate its 10th anniversary next year. – notes Michał Nowakowski.

CD PROJEKT Group’s revenue in the first half of 2024 amounted to PLN 425 million, mainly driven by the sale of Cyberpunk2077 and its expansion – Phantom LibertyThe Group generated a consolidated net profit of PLN 170 million.

– In addition to strong financial results, which – in terms of net profit – exceeded the comparable period by almost 90%, we also recorded an increase in our financial reserves in the first half of 2024. Although we paid out almost PLN 100 million as dividends and allocated over PLN 150 million to new projects, our reserves nevertheless grew by more than PLN 55 million. – notes Piotr Nielubowicz, CFO of CD PROJEKT.
