Ravens sign QB Devin Leary, WR Anthony Miller and others to practice squad

The Ravens signed quarterback Devin Leary and wide receivers Anthony Miller and Dayton Wade to their practice squad on Wednesday, re-hiring 15 players they released during Tuesday’s roster reduction.

NFL practice squads can add up to 16 players during the season — or 17 with a waiver under the league’s International Player Pathway program. Teams can sign up to 10 players with up to two years of accumulated service time and up to six players with unlimited accumulated time to the practice squad. Practice squad players can be named to the game-day roster up to three times before being placed on the waivers list.

After the Ravens finalized their initial 53-man roster on Tuesday, none of the players they waived were claimed by the midday deadline Wednesday, clearing the way for over a dozen reunions in Baltimore. Here’s their first practice squad:

  • QB Devin Leary (sixth round selection)
  • RB John Kelly (seventh-year rookie)
  • RB Chris Collier (undrafted rookie)
  • WR Dayton Wade (undrafted rookie)
  • WR Anthony Miller (seventh-year veteran)
  • WR Keith Kirkwood (seventh-year veteran)
  • WR Malik Cunningham (second-year veteran)
  • TE Qadir Ismail (undrafted rookie)
  • OL Corey Bullock (undrafted rookie)
  • OL Darrian Dalcourt (undrafted rookie)
  • DL CJ Ravenell (undrafted rookie)
  • OLB Joe Evans (undrafted rookie)
  • ILB Josh Ross (third-year veteran)
  • CB Bump Cooper Jr. (undrafted rookie)
  • CB Ka’dar Hollman (sixth year veteran)

They did not re-sign eight players who were released on Tuesday: undrafted rookie quarterback Emory Jones, second-year offensive lineman Tashawn Manning, undrafted rookie offensive lineman Julian Pearl, eighth-year defensive lineman Josh Tupou, seventh-year defensive lineman Deadrin Senat, undrafted rookie inside linebacker Yvandy Rigby, third-year cornerback Damarion “Pepe” Williams and ninth-year safety Darly Worley.
