Samsung TV Plus India has partnered with Powerkids Entertainment to launch two FAST (Free Ad Supported Television) channels, namely a PowerKids Kartoon channel and a dedicated Jungle Book channel on Samsung’s live TV service.
Samsung TV Plus is a live TV service available for free on supported Samsung TVs. The service includes a wide range of channels in various categories such as infotainment, movies, music, lifestyle, news, entertainment, sports as well as kids channels.
The Jungle Book will be available as a dedicated fast channel on Samsung’s Live TV service.
Users can follow the adventures of Mogli, Baghira and Baloo from the well-known The Jungle Book Animated series. The series is a 3D CGI adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s well-known novel and is produced by the Indian animation studio DQ Entertainment (Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, The Penguins of Madagascar) and was released in 2010. The 3D animated series ran for three seasons with a total of 150 episodes. The series also won the award for Best Licensed and Sold Series at the Animation Xpress Ann Awards.
Hyderabad-based kids IP management company Powerkids Entertainment has partnered with US-based entertainment company Genius Brands International to launch PowerKids Kartoon Channel in June 2023! Across India and South Asia. The channel’s catalogue included a variety of kids shows like The Wubbulous World by Dr. Seuss, Babar, Melodies, Super easy songs And Finny the Shark. In August 2023, Powerkids Entertainment also partnered with Jio Platforms Limited to launch PowerKids Kartoon Channel and PowerTeens Channel on live TV platforms JioTV and JioTV+.
