Financial website WalletHub collected data from over 180 cities, using information such as average weekly work hours, unemployment rates, and divorce and suicide rates to determine which cities suffer the most from stress. The study examined 39 factors in four categories: work stress, financial stress, family stress, and health and safety stress.

“Where you live can play a big role in how stressed you are,” said WalletHub analyst Cassandra Happe.

According to a recent report, 12 California cities are on the list of the 100 most polluted cities in the USA. But there is also some good news: The study found that a California city in the San Francisco Bay Area is the least polluted place in the USA.

Of the 182 cities studied, several California cities were ranked among the top 100 most polluted. Here’s how the other cities fared:

• Los Angeles: 42nd most polluted city in the USA
• Bakersfield: 63rd most polluted city in the USA
• Moreno Valley: Ranked 66th among the most stressed cities in the USA. Ranked 9th among the cities studied for the greatest family stress.
• Sacramento: 74th most polluted city in the USA
• Ocean side: 93rd most polluted city in the USA
• Fontana: 95th most polluted city in the USA
• Oakland: 96th most polluted city in the USA
• riverside: 98th most polluted city in the USA
• Oxnard: 99th most polluted city in the USA

These Californian cities are the least polluted

Of the 182 cities studied, several California cities were ranked among the 20 least polluted cities in the country. Here’s how these cities fared:

• Fremont: Ranked as the least stressful city in California and the United States. Ranked #1 for health and family safety and #13 for least family stress among cities studied.
• San Jose: 15th place for the least stressed cities. 3rd place for the least financial stress in the cities studied.
• Irvine: 16th least polluted city. 3rd in terms of health and family safety among the cities studied.
