As part of your PS Plus Essential “free” games offer in September 2024, you will receive Harry Potter Quidditch Champions, MLB The Show 24 and Little Nightmares 2 for PS5 and PS4 on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. Not a bad lineup, I’d say!

Three of the existing Essential games will be leaving PS Plus, so add the August 2024 lineup to your library now. That way, you can get into the titles at any time by simply adding them via the PS Plus tab on your PS5 home screen.

Harry Potter Quidditch Champions

Already announced on the first day as a PS Plus Essential game, Harry Potter Quidditch Champions will be released for free on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. It’s a sports game version of the wizarding world’s most popular sport, with seven players per team. Riding brooms, your roles vary from Guardian to Seeker of the Golden Snitch to chaotic thugs and skilled pursuers.

I am very excited about the first response to Quidditch Champion because the first gameplay trailer didn’t go over well. The game looked like it was aimed at smartphones, with its simplistic art style and rather clunky animations. Some players who played the beta noted that the way the trailers were edited didn’t do the game justice, so let’s hope that’s the case!

MLB The Show 24

The earliest I can remember MLB The Show has been added to PS Plus Essential, MLB The Show 24 is a nice surprise for this month. Although the world’s first baseball simulation means we have a double sports tune this year, it’s hard not to be happy about it.

Maybe it’s because I’m excited to play as the Seattle Mariners for once without having to go through a four-year rebuild! The point is that this year’s edition is well received by fans and there’s no doubt that the quality of this overlooked game from PlayStation Studios remains high!

Little Nightmares 2

This little game comes from the very big publisher Bandai Namco, but let me tell you that Little Nightmares II has some of the biggest fans. In this cute horror game, you play as Mono and try to escape a buzzing world. Will Mono survive with Six as his guide? I have no idea because I’m scared in a corner somewhere, but I’m sure many of you will!
