Everyone’s favorite Darth is back and this time he’ll face off against the new legendary Jedi.

It’s been a while since Darth Vader was the focus of Star Wars history, but that’s about to change thanks to a brand new four-issue comic book miniseries.

Written by Rodney Barnes (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) and with pictures by the artist Ramon Rosanas (Star Wars: Age of Resistance), Marvel’s Star Wars: Inquisitors #1 will see Vader fight against the Jedi Knight Tensu Run.

Set during the reign of the Empire – between the events of Revenge of the Sith And A new hope – Thanks to Marvel, the cover of the fourth volume of the miniseries was recently revealed for the first time.

The cover, designed by Nick Bradshaw, shows Darth Vader and Tensu Run in battle, surrounded by the Jedi assassins Grand Inquisitor, Fifth Brother, Seventh Sister and Ninth Sister.

Tensu Run has plans to rebuild the Order, and after surviving the execution of Palpatine’s Order 66, he must first hunt down Vader and his followers of the dark side.

The table of contents for Marvel’s Star Wars: Inquisitors #1 reads as follows: “THE JEDI MUST DIE! Weapons of the Emperor, the ruthless Inquisitors were sent into the galaxy to track down and kill any Jedi who survived Order 66. They are among the most skilled and deadly threats to those who have served the light side of the Force.”

And further: “Buried in the annals of Jedi lore is the story of Tensu Run, the Jedi who stood against the Inquisitors and Darth Vader! What became of him, and why did the Empire fear his existence so much?”

Marvel’s Star Wars: Inquisitors #1 is already available in all major comic shops, but volume four will not be available until October 2nd.
