In a thrilling clash that brought the magic of Hogwarts to the cricket field, actors Tom Felton and Matthew Lewis, famous for their roles as Draco Malfoy and Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter series, competed against each other in a Harry Potter charity cricket match.

The game, which pitted Slytherin against Gryffindor, ended in a nerve-wracking finish, with Lewis’ Gryffindor team winning by just one point.

Gryffindor defeats Slytherin in a charity cricket match

Tom Felton, who played the infamous Slytherin student Draco Malfoy, shared his defeat with his fans on Instagram. In a light-hearted post, Felton cheekily noted: “Damn Longbottom”, It captures the spirit of friendly rivalry that was the highlight of the event.

Felton, wearing a black T-shirt and grey cap, flashed his signature Malfoy grin in one of the photos, while Lewis, wearing a white Gryffindor T-shirt, grinned like a true champion. In another picture, the two actors laughed together, showing their camaraderie.

The charity cricket match was organised by former stuntman David Holmes, who has been a driving force behind such events for years.

Holmes, who was paralysed during the filming of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 in 2010, has put his passion into organising these games, with proceeds going to the hospitals that played a crucial role in his recovery. Holmes also posed with Felton and Lewis at the event.

In the meantime, Tom Felton is active in acting. Last year he appeared in the psychological thriller “Some Other Woman” and is expected to star in the upcoming film “Altered.”

He will also make his debut in an Indian production, playing a British officer in Hansal Mehta’s historical series Gandhi. Matthew Lewis was recently seen in the BBC One dramedy “Avoidance.”
