Now there’s a pleasant surprise. THQ Nordic has just released a PC demo for the upcoming remaster of its vibrant 3D platformer Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed. PC gamers can visit the game’s Steam store page and download the demo.
In this game, players can explore a reimagined wasteland filled with timeless Disney characters and stories. Their main weapon is a magic brush, which they can use to paint to create and thinner to alter.
As players travel between lands in Wasteland, they will encounter various iconic characters such as Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Walt Disney’s first creation. They can also collect virtual Disney pins, complete creative challenges and uncover mysteries as they explore classic platforming levels inspired by cartoons and short films.
The remaster promises improved gameplay with new abilities. According to the game description, Mickey now has new moves such as sprinting, ground slamming and dashing.
The publisher has also announced that the game will be released on September 24th. In addition, it has revealed the official PC requirements.
PC players will need at least an AMD FX – 4300 or Intel Core i3 – 4130 with 8GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon R9 380. The game also requires 28GB of free disk space. From what we can see, it will only support the DX11 API, but not DX12. I also don’t see Denuvo listed on the page, so we can assume it won’t be used.
The developers recommend using an AMD FX – 8300 x8 or Intel Core i5 – 3570K with 8 GB RAM and an AMD Radeon RX 570 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti.
Purple Lamp hasn’t provided any details on the resolution, settings, and framerate that these PC specs are aiming for. Still, based on these PC specs, we can definitely say that it will run on a wide range of PC configurations.
