Is there any good news coming soon for Notre Dame football recruiting?

Is there any good news coming soon for Notre Dame football recruiting?

It seems like it’s been a while since anything positive has happened in Notre Dame football recruiting.

Talented North Carolina safety JaDon Blair announced his commitment to Notre Dame on July 6, and everything seemed to be rosy for the Fighting Irish.

Since then, however, little seems to have gone right on the recruitment front.

Just a few days later, Notre Dame’s then-top-rated recruit for the class of 2025, safety Ivan Taylor, transferred from the Irish to Michigan.

In the meantime, no commitments were made, and a few weeks later, rumors began to spread like wildfire that quarterback Deuce Knight, Notre Dame’s current top-rated recruit in the class, might withdraw his commitment to Auburn.

Although Knight has not yet made this change of heart, the fear remains that it could still happen to him.

The Notre Dame football team could definitely use some positive momentum in its recruiting efforts right now, and if you follow a certain lead just a little bit, you can see that there could be some good news soon.

Notre Dame Football Recruiting – Replacement for Ivan Taylor in the class of 2025

Ivan Taylor had been committed to Notre Dame’s 2025 recruiting class for some time, but as June approached July, his continued recruiting trips elsewhere put the Fighting Irish staff on somewhat alert.

A week before Taylor officially announced his transfer from Notre Dame to Michigan, Notre Dame offered in-state safety Brandon Logan a football scholarship.

Logan is not rated particularly highly as a promising player (247Sports gave him just three stars) and he only has offers from two other programs – Indiana and Iowa.

Logan attends R. Nelson Snider High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

How can only two other programs have offered him a scholarship to Notre Dame when he has a chance of getting a scholarship?

Brandon Logan – Two Sports Stars

Logan hasn’t received much attention on the national football scene because he’s long played for Vanderbilt, one of the country’s biggest baseball teams.

You can use the past tense here because Logan’s commitment to Vanderbilt is now officially over. Logan issued a statement on social media Friday night.

What are Logan’s “unplanned opportunities”?

I will never be confused with Nostradamus, but it’s not too hard to see why Notre Dame might finally get some good recruiting news soon.

Logan has not listed any other scholarship offers since Notre Dame made one just over a month ago.

If you quickly put two and two together, you could most likely soon find the sum of four on the campus of Notre Dame.

Unless Logan has something big up his sleeve.
