Pete Yorn releases Cardboard Sessions for “Real Good Love”

Cardboard sessions is pleased to announce Peter Yorn as the latest artist to showcase his talent on the cardboard instruments. Today, in the first part of a two-part episode, Pete presents “Really good love”, the second single from Pete’s latest album, The hard way. This is followed by “Calm down“ will be released next Wednesday, August 28th.

Yorn comments:

“Coming in and playing instruments I’ve never played before. And yes, they’re made of cardboard, but they have such a feeling. The song we did, ‘Real Good Love,’ just came about almost magically.”

It’s that feeling that makes Cardboard Sessions so special, and Pete’s episode is no exception. His music and this session are a vibe. It’s honest and organic and comes together, well, magically.

Pete is known for playing the majority of the instruments on his albums himself, and does the same for his Cardboard Session recording. He plays cardboard guitar, cardboard bass, cardboard drums, and cardboard keys. MichaelJacksonwho has worked with Pete in the past, acts as engineer and sits behind the keys during the session.

Cardboard Sessions (a collaboration between Signal Snowboards And Ernest Packaging) is a free-form video series that brings musicians together to play instruments created by the makers of Cardboard chaoswhere progressive concept ideas from sports and music are made out of cardboard. A creative exploration of the love of music and the chance to hear something original, without rehearsal, without plan and without rules. Artists who have had the opportunity to play the cardboard creations in past sessions include ZZ-Top‘S Billy Gibbons, J Mascis, Matt Sorum, Terry Reid, Daru Jones, Preservation Hall All-Star Band, LP, Dog Starand more.
