Old Depot Vineyard and Winery welcomes singer Liv Faith as part of a summer music series

NORTH PLATTE, Nebraska (KNOP) – Singer Liv Faith performed Friday as part of the summer music series at the Old Depot in Brady.

The Old Depot is a vineyard and winery that opened in 2021 and serves a selection of wines and pizzas. In 2018, owners Jason and Sharon Axthelm purchased the building from the Village of Brady and moved it to East Banner Road, transforming the old passenger rail station into a winery.

Country singer Liv Faith performed an acoustic set of songs by Chris Stapleton and Elvis Presley. Shannon Axthelm said Old Depot Vineyard and Winery plans to wrap up this summer and make it an annual event.

“We just bought the stage that she’s on and literally brought her in today,” Axthelm said. “So we’ve got it all set up and we have big plans to improve it, put in lights and speakers and stuff like that. So we’re ramping up our live music offerings a little bit, but we’re just happy to have her here. We had her brother Drew Phillips here too, so I’m happy to have her here.”

The live music at the Old Depot continues on Saturday with a performance by guitarist Red Bland starting at 6 p.m.
