Giovanni Pernice is said to be in talks with ITV about joining I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2024. The 33-year-old is reportedly in talks to enter the jungle after reports emerged that the dancer has quit Strictly Come Dancing.

An insider told The Sun: “Giovanni would be perfect for the jungle and ITV bosses have wanted him for years and now he’s finally free. Everyone is desperate to have him on board – he would really be ideal for those jungle showers.”

They added: “They are expected to offer him a lot of money and it is unlikely he will actually turn it down. He will be finished with the tour and will have those months off as he is now off Strictly.”

The source added: “It’s definitely a very tempting offer and it would be a surprise if he turned it down.”

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Giovanni Pernice’s involvement in Strictly Come Dancing could be in limbo, with the dancer reportedly fed up with “critical scrutiny” following allegations about his teaching methods and now considering focusing on other television opportunities.

A source close to him told The Sun: “Gio feels the criticism of him has become too much and that now is the time to make a fresh start. He wants to focus on other TV projects and feels he has achieved everything he could on Strictly: winning back the trophy in 2021 and reaching the final an unprecedented four times.”

The insider continued: “He insists he has done nothing wrong other than being a strict taskmaster, but he knows his training style is not to everyone’s taste – especially in this day and age. He has lots of other exciting projects in the pipeline right now and is really excited to get started on them.
