Travel back to 1968 with Collider’s exclusive first images and poster for Lukas Sparkes upcoming function, Primitive WarThe film is set in the bloodiest days of the Vietnam War and is announced as “R-Rated.” Jurassic Park”, promises lots of chaos and destruction involving dinosaurs. If you love horror and prehistoric beasts, this film is for you – that is more than clear in our first picture preview.

Fighting the enemy is hard enough, but throw some dinosaur into the mix and you are in a nightmare situation. The main characters quickly find out how terrible the cards they have been dealt are Primitive War are a search and rescue force known as the Vulture Squad. The crew is tasked with parachuting into the jungle to find a missing platoon of Green Berets. Unfortunately, traps and enemy gunfire are the least of their worries when they discover that dinosaurs call this long-thought-abandoned piece of land their home – and they are none too pleased with their visitors.

The first pictures show some of the main members of Primitive Wars story. Dressed in camouflage and with weapons drawn, one shot shows the group walking slowly through the dark jungle, looking for someone or something that might have evil in mind. Two other images show two of the various men in the search party up close and personal, as if they are both frightened by something in front of them. Finally, the poster for Primitive War looks like it was inspired by Full metal jacket The design features a skull wearing a bullet-riddled army helmet decorated with a peace sign. A gigantic T. Rex skull clutches the severed human skull with its razor-sharp teeth.

Who is in “Primitive War”?

With a number of familiar faces, Primitive War with performances by Tricia Helper (Battlestar Galactica), Ryan Kwanten (True Blood), Jeremy Piven (entourage), Nick Wechsler (Roswell), Jeremy Lindsay Taylor (The Diplomat), Anthony Ingruber (Indiana Jones and the Blade of Destiny) and more. The film is the latest from filmmaker Sparke, who also wrote the screenplay. In the past, Sparke has directed titles such as Profession, Occupation: Rain, The devil under the earthAnd Bring him to me. Together with Primitive WarSparke has a few other projects in the pipeline, including the action film, Fight for your life and a survival thriller titled Scurrying.
