In the episode of August 27th of “Jungle Food” by SBS Lee Seung Yoon, Ryu Soo Young, Seo In Gukand UEE tried a giant caterpillar in the country of Vanuatu.

A giant caterpillar was served as a special dish in the jungles of Vanuatu. Lee Seung Yoon hesitated at first, but then tried it first and said: “It’s sweeter than I expected… It’s delicious.” Ryu So Yyoung, who had been waiting to try out the caterpillar, said: “I can’t believe I’m doing this,” clearly emotional. Seo In Guk trembled before taking a bite. Although everyone was hesitant at first, they all praised the taste after trying it. UEE was the most hesitant and said: “I can’t eat things like sea squirts or silkworm pupae.” Lee Seung Yoon encouraged them by suggesting a simpler way to eat it: “The outside is tough, so just vacuum the inside. It’s really good.”

After nervously eating the caterpillar, UEE finally admitted: “It’s delicious.” She compared the taste with “Coconut milk pudding”, Add, “I can’t believe I liked it, but it was good.”

Ryu Soo Young compared the taste with “Peanuts, mung beans and cashew nuts”, while UEE added, “It tastes like pine nuts.”
