The cast of My Hero Academia possess amazing talent and strength, and many of the best heroes in the series come from Class 1-A. One of these talented students is Shoto Todorokiwith a distinctive character that integrates both fire and ice into his technique. Half of Todoroki’s body can create blazing flames, while the other half can create freezing ice. Because of this gift, it’s almost as if the hero has two quirks in one.

A Shoto Todoroki cosplay posted by @gikcosplay and photographed by @totoroph on Instagram shows the UA High hero in all his glory. Todoroki’s usual hero costume is seen: a dark blue long-sleeved shirt and matching dark blue pants.

They wear white boots as well as a brown and silver tool belt that serves as a way for Todoroki to store items he might need during battles. @gikcosplay also wears a vest that matches the tool belt. This piece of clothing is designed to help Todoroki regulate his heating and cooling abilities and properly control them during his various attacks.

The wig included in the cosplay is white on one side and red on the other to indicate Todoroki’s quirk, which apt title: half cold, half hot. The color pattern of his hair helps to illustrate which facet of his Quirk can use each side of his body. His eyes are also heterochromatic. One eye is grey and one is blue, also caused by his temperature-related Quirk. Finally, there is a large red scar around @gikcosplay’s eye that was created with makeup. Todoroki’s scar has a very tragic origin. He got it in his childhood and it was caused by his mother.

When Todoroki was little, his mother Rei noticed that the eye on his left side was identical to that of her husband and Todoroki’s father Endeavor. Endeavor mistreated both Rei and Shoto, and this led Rei is supposed to burn Todoroki’s eye with boiling water. This traumatic event explains his facial scar, which @gikcosplay included in the cosplay for anime accuracy. Additionally, the quality of the photography enhances the look even further, capturing it in vivid, clear detail as the cosplayer stands with his arms slightly outstretched and feet placed back in a fighting stance befitting Todoroki’s hero character.

Todoroki’s power and skill with his quirk are impressive and can compete with the skills of other top heroes of UA High such as Izuku Midoriya and Bakugo Katsuki. He is consistently one of the best students in the class during tests and training, proving his potential to be one of the greatest professional heroes in the world. Although he faces obstacles such as the cruelty of his father Endeavor, Todoroki never loses sight of his goals. @gikcosplay has absolutely transformed into the half cold, half hot hero, with a look that My Hero Academia Hero costume of the character, peculiarity and courage in battle.
