18-year-old accused of stealing money from former neighbor’s home in Horry County

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – An 18-year-old is behind bars in Horry County after police say he allegedly stole money from a home Sunday night.

According to records, Devin Snow was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary and was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Monday.

According to a police report obtained by WMBF News, an officer with the Horry County Police Department was called to Sea Oats Drive on Sunday for a reported burglary.

That report states the victim told police she was on her way home when they saw Snow coming out the front door. The victim also said they knew Snow because he used to live near them but was kicked out for stealing from family members. The victim also told police Snow broke into their home about three months ago.

The victim told police that only $2,300 was stolen during the incident on Sunday. According to arrest warrants, those items were found in a drawer in the victim’s bedroom.

Snow is also said to have changed clothes and run into the woods. Details of Snow’s actual arrest were not immediately available.

According to court documents, Snow was granted $15,000 bail on Monday, but he had not posted it as of Tuesday afternoon.
