HENRY COUNTY, Georgia. – Multiple police officers are on the scene of an incident in Henry County.

It takes place on Linden Lane, not far from Swan Lake Road and Gardner Road.

According to an official, U.S. Marshals were attempting to arrest an Atlanta murder suspect when he opened fire on officers.

An officer assigned to the U.S. Marshals was struck and taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is currently barricaded in a house.

Residents should avoid the area.

A crew from FOX 5 Atlanta is en route to the scene. At this time, we do not have any details about the incident.

There were two fatal shootings involving police officers in the Atlanta area.

Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Brandon Cunningham was shot while responding to a domestic violence incident.

Carroll County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Taylor Bristow also died after being shot while helping the GBI execute a search warrant on a person suspected of “sexual exploitation of children.”
